St Pauls Letter to Year 8
From Paul, an apostle of Jesus, to Loreto
year 8. May the Lord bring you peace and happiness forever and
always.
'Thank you, Father, for having created us and given us to each other in the human
family. Thank you for being with us in all our joys and sorrows, for your
comfort in our sadness, your companionship in our loneliness. Thank you for
yesterday, today, tomorrow and for the whole of our lives. Thank you for
friends, for health and for grace. May we live this and every day conscious of
all that has been given to us.' 1
My ask of you is to lead a peaceful life and not judge others.
God has made every one different. I have travelled through lands near and far
and have learned the gift of friendship. I advise all of you to spread out and
become acquaintances if not friends with the people you meet. Always remember
that everyone is equal. Never judge or be hurtful towards others. Think before
you act. Treat others how you would like to be
treated.
Even though I have been captured by the Romans, I have forgiven
them and I hope that they find God and live in peace. My Roman captors have
treated me poorly but that is no reason to dislike them. Have a good heart when
it comes to people that treat you badly and look to forgive them for often they
know not what they do.
I bid you farewell and remember that goodness shines within every one of you.
‘Dear God, I wish the best for the students of Loreto Normanhurst and their
families.’ Amen.
